I am helping a friend clean a grossly infected computer. Windows 10. Uses McAfee AV.
He ran Malwarebytes 3 without difficulty and it cleaned with no problem at all. I do have the log if needed but cannot find a way to attach the text file
He then attempted to use AdwCleaner v. 7.0.3.1 but it would not complete cleaning and received a box with notification that a problem had stopped the clean....
Accidentally installed adware on my computer. It did things like turning malwarebytes into a untrusted publisher. Fixed that but now AdwCleaner stops responding once it reaches post actions.

Yes, sure. It seems to me like it tries to rid of the items found, but they are untrusted and should be there. In addition, when I just let it do its automatic thing, upon reboot, in Firefox the No-Script was completely reset and I have to allow again for each new site I visit. I have justed installed AdwCleaner and unable to resize the application window. This is a problem as the Results pane is obscured which prevents me from uncheck any elements that I want to be keep prior to running the "Clena" process.
Please fix ASAP

Par contre, McAfee VirusScan fait parti de mon antivirus... est-ce que je peux vraiment l'enlever ?
