I had some unwanted popups the other day and seemed to remove them.
As AdwCleaner is recommended for adware/pups, I thought I'd try it out to see if Malwarebytes found everything.
The scan itself was quick, but the removing part took longer, and when it got to the end it crashed (screen went wonky and discoloured, my disabled avira taskbar icon had a big red x through it) and restarted. ...
Here are some things to go by, tailored to you and leaving out more complicated things like NoScript:
1) Use Firefox as much as possible and not Internet Explorer, unless you really absolutely must.

Yes, sure. It seems to me like it tries to rid of the items found, but they are untrusted and should be there. In addition, when I just let it do its automatic thing, upon reboot, in Firefox the No-Script was completely reset and I have to allow again for each new site I visit. As stated in the title, I myself do have problems when attempting the cleaning stage. But instead of getting this blue screen, mine just simply didn't respond.
Im using Windows 10 64-bit as well.

I keep getting the blue screen CRITICAL_PROCESS_.... I dont remember the last word but Ive tried disabling McAfee Firewall but it still crashes when I hit clean. Please someone help!
