Hello Adwcleaner forum,

I recently used Adwcleaner to get rid of some ad pop ups from my chrome browser. After restarting the computer none of programs work at all. I tried running any exe file by right clicking on the and running as admin but nothing happens. Task manager also doesn't work.

Tried deleting it in safe mode but it said it was open in another program.

Hi, and yes ethminer is part of the Nicehash coin miner. However the file contains mining/bot behvaior. There will not be updates to make this file undetected. Have you tried booting into safemode and Deleting the C:\WINDOWS\SysNative\drivers\ucguard.sys file manually? If not I'd create a system restore point and try that.

I'm a person with a similiar problem, but a different hijacker/redirect virus.

I've been dealing with it for some time and still haven't found a way to remove such problems.

I hope this problem has a solution other than fresh Windows install :)
