Too Many Steps? Help!

I just d/l the adwcleaner step 1 with no issues and i notices there's a bunch more steps. Are they necessary? I only have Windows Defender that comes with windows 10. Obviously i wouldn't do steps that say optional or for apple when i have a hp but the other ones that say hitman pro for example. A small window popped up after the scan saying to enable detection of PUPs on adware...where do i do that at? I started having these issues cuz i watch addictive shows and want to binge and these website that have free streaming gave me those system alert popup scam. So what do you recommend and what should i do about the other steps? Which ones are crutial?

I'm going to help you to scan and disinfect your computer. I'm not an english native speaker, and I might be unclear, if so, don't hesitate to ask for more details.

First can you do a scan with AdwCleaner and post here the repport :

  • Download AdwCleaner from Xplode on your desktop.
  • Launch in and accept the Terms of Service.
  • Then click on the "Scan" button and wait during the scan.
  • At the enf of the scan, click on the "LogFile" button.
  • A repport should open in notepad.
  • Copy/paste its content in your answer.

Then can you do another scan with ZHPDiag :

  • Download ZHPDiag from Nicolas on his website
  • Then run it with administrator's rights (with right click)
  • Click on the "Scan" button and wait during the scan.
  • Then upload the logfile name ZHPDiag.txt on up2share (you will find it on your desktop, just drop the file on the upload zone)
  • Then post the link in your reply
