Version 6.047 finds nothing while version 7 finds 262 elements, mostly IE registry keys + one Firefox add-on.

You could try installing TV, doing a scan with anti-virus software, ADWCleaner and maybe some form of anti-malware on top of that, to confirm or deny your thoughts.

The database is updated daily with a lot of new detections each day, and today was even more bigger.
