When is it happening? During the clean process?
Yes! I use adwcleaner(not Malwarebytes).
I see this message for 6 months. Version adwcleaner_7.0.8.0 What's happening? Does the company make everyone switch to a paid version? I use free of charge.

Sorry, I do not know much English.
Greetings,
AdwCleaner v7 no longer supports Windows XP. You can try to use the previous major version (v6) by following this link: https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/1-adwcleaner/files/851/
Please note that it's 10 months old and is no longer updated.
Also, feel free to try out Malwarebytes 3.0 (it is compatible with XP): https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/309-malwarebytes/...
using latest version 13/03/18

Greetings,
Please turn off Norton's realtime protection when using AdwCleaner or add it to the exclusion list. Then, you should be able to run it successfully.
Don't forget to turn on the protection when you're done.
Feel free to ask if you need more details.
Regards.
This still leaves windows thinking it is installed and eventually leads to trouble in add/remove programs and leftover registry entries. What is needed in an uninstall/cleanup program from Malwarebytes.
Hello,
As I said (many many times) AdwCleaner v7.1 is still being developed actively. Unfortunately it took some time (longer than we expected) but it's almost ready.
I'm closing this one. Feel free to open a new thread if you have more questions.
Just ran it again this morning and it still fails. I did not do a dump, but it looks like it stopped in the same area.

Hello,
Since Malwarebytes handles AdwCleaner go here to get a reliable download https://www.malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner/?ref=adw
there are no PUP's related to this download. Have a great day!
Thanks. I'll try to reproduce this during the weekend and will let you know how it goes.
Quick question. Does it works when you're using "Download Master" with >=2 threads on Firefox (not Waterfox)?
And finally, just to make sure everything else is OK. Can you do a scan/clean with AdwCleaner?
Regards.
