same error!

double click → error message → I can not open adwcleaner! (5.017&5.016)

But old ver(ver.5.015) can open!

The log that generates after choosing debug mode is as follow, as you can see from it, it doesn't complete the scan. On the progress bar it doesn't show anything.

Hello,

Can you run AdwCleaner again and check "Enable debug mode" in "Option" menu. After that, just press "Scan" , you will still see this error message so just press ok. 

Then go to C:\AdwCleaner and post the content of the file called AdwCleaner_dbg_xxxxx.log

Moreover, can you tell me what is written just above the progress bar when this error message occurs ?

Hi cocohepeau, I just read that thread it doesn't give any explanation why this error pops up.

Do you mean that there is a problem with my windows OS or is it the program itself that is not functioning correctly?

I have been using Adwcleaner for quite some time and had always done the job well. But recently since the version 5.009 have noticed that in middle of scanning it suddenly stops and shows an error code as shown by the image. After pressing ok the program stops too and the same happens after restarting it. I am now using the latest version but the same is happening.
