No, it do not depends on the chosen location. You can save AdwCleaner wherever you want, the result will be the same.

Can you launch AdwCleaner, click on Tools > Options. Then, tick "Debug", and do a scan, and a clean.
When the crash occured, please host the file C:\AdwCleaner_Debug.log on https://up2sha.re/ and share the generated link here.

Ok. So copy paste the following content in the settings.ini file (overwrite the current content):
[Properties]
Language=en
EulaAccepted=1
[Options]
DebugMode=1
Then, launch AdwCleaner as usual, do a scan and share the file mentionned above.

You can uncheck the two first elements (FWToolsForSOHLib.FWToolsAsSOHLibVersion & FWToolsForSOHLib.FWToolsAsSOHLibVersi.1), but you can safely remove the four others, they belong to malicious elements.

Can you or edit the following line from C:\AdwCleaner\settings.ini :
DebugMode
and set it as:
DebugMode=1
Then, relaunch AdwCleaner, the error should appear. Also, a new file will be created as C:\AdwCleaner\AdwCleaner_Debug.log.
