Re: Ransomware .shit?

Browsing old threads and safe to say, that Locky won't be decryptable for quite some time. Considering that new versions of it are coming out, making it even more complicated to do anything. You can read more on Malwarebytes and The Hacker News. Even Kaspersky's attempts at that have failed. Hopefully, we can have the master key somehow, or a lucky break in decryption. Other than that, you can ...

Re: extansion .no_more_ransom

Future here! Hopefully, you will be able to understand this in English. Decided, to surf some older posts and add some information to what we now know. 2 Vendors currently have a decryptor for it as part of the "No More Ransom" project (Not related to this extension, this extension is just mocking). You can find Kaspersky's and McAfee's versions respectively. Additionally, you can read more abo...

Re: Download and 3rd party providers

Not in particular. I was surfing other forums, Norton, Kaspersky and in general tech and cyber security forums, and a lot of people have installation issues. Even when downloading from your website and official sources. I have also read plenty of entries in this forum about people not being able to install the software properly

As for 3rd Party providers FileHippo??? uptodown? Cnet? Toms guide...

Hello I didin't see this topic before.

Do you really think that if it was a bad file , all the best and known antiviruses ( DrWeb, Malwarebytes, Kaspersky, Bitdefender, etc.....) could mark it as safe ?

Please, think before posting

Potential false positives?

Re: AdwCleaner signature

Here is the logfile that was displayed:

Re: Antivirus Software

Most anti-virus softwares do the job relatively well, they all provide decent features, and most importantly, most of them have a free alternative, for example, IObit, Avast, Comodo, Malwarebytes and so on, you could try them out and see which ones you prefer yourself. And of course, the best product is usually a paid product, so whichever you chose to use, paid versions are more sustained. As ...

Re: can't remove

I figure by now you probably have figured it out, but I came across this when I was still looking for answers.  3 hours later I was finally free of that crap.

I basically ran malwarebytes (I turned on search for rootkits under settings just to be sure), AdwCleaner, HitmanPro until nothing was found before finally removing google chrome completely.  And the real problem was that the url redire...
