Re: Is this a false positive?

The fact that this is Spanish(Maybe?) makes it very VERY difficult to read.... Any way you could turn it into English? On the first glance noticed some things that MIGHT be potential issues, unsure, cause..... I am not yet used to reading the logs, and different language doesn't help the issue :)

100% False Positive, but not good for me!

Hello reader, I using another new browser called Torch (torchbrowser.com) and I really hate, that ADWCleaner thing that Torch Browser is adware, can be that fixed? Its only normal browser based on Chromium, nothing bad in the browser, but the worst thing is, everytime I need to reinstall the browser after ran ADWCleaner, Thanks for help

Re: False Positive v7?

Upon further investigation, this looks like malware's registry file that wasn't removed correctly, but the rest of the issue was

That seems rather unlikely, because the registery key was the only thing that was detected. To reiterate, before AdwCleaner's database update of August 25 my Adwcleaner scans (and other scans for that matter) were clean. In addition, other virusscanners weren't abl...

Re: My First Post: Are These Internet Explorer\ActiveX Compatibility Entries False Positives

I just installed version 7.0.2.1 which is newest release of Adwcleaner. I ran a scan and it came back clean. None of the previously detected Internet Explorer\ActiveX Compatibility registry entries were detected by the scan...  Happy Days!!!

Thank you for fixing the problem...

General Question about AdsFix

Hi there,

I just have some questions about your program.

1: Does AdsFix have a pause button? During the analyzing sequence it took over 4 hours to scan (and that was at 57%), I didn't expect it to go for so long.

2: When I pressed escape on the keyboard; when it was analyzing, the computer froze up and windows was seizing. Followed by a frozen screen and I had to hard reset the computer. ...

Re: My First Post: Are These Internet Explorer\ActiveX Compatibility Entries False Positives

A quick bump up the post to get admins/mods here to confirm and double check my concerns.  Also, the other thread hasn't been confirmed by admins/mods as well. We will see how it turns out, could be just another bug with Adwcleaner.

Re: My First Post: Are These Internet Explorer\ActiveX Compatibility Entries False Positives

Thanks, I much appreciate the input... It would also be much appreciated if one of the administrators would chime in on this topic to verify that all the "ActiveX Compatibility" registry entries are truly FP's, and if so will there be an update to correct this.

In the thread, "False Positives V7" by, SWBUser, his log file also contains a long list of  "ActiveX Compatibility" registry entries a...

Re: AdwCleaner 7.0.1.0

Greetings, hopefully, you can understand English. With the power invested in my by Google Translate, I will attempt to answer your questions. AdwCleaner doesn't install anything since it is a standalone software. If you haven't had any malware or there are no files that need to be quarantined/stored, there will be no reason to create a folder in C disk. Try doing a scan once. It should appear a...

Re: My First Post: Are These Internet Explorer\ActiveX Compatibility Entries False Positives

ActiveX detections are usual FP's. Try doing an additional scan with Malwarebytes to confirm that. But I am fairly certain that these should not be detected. According to the internet and research that I did, ActiveX sets guidelines for processes, it can be exploited to some degree, but Adwcleaner would have removed them if found.
