Re: PUP \SysNative\drivers\mrxsmb22.sys

Hello,

I don't use Malwarebytes after the huge changes. Count on Adw, JRT,  & MBAE. I hope you live long, so Corporate won't take control.

Re: PUP \SysNative\drivers\mrxsmb22.sys

Just did another search, the last trace of it is no longer found. All gone. Did completly nothing, the last one went away on its own.

Computer Infected, AdwCleaner won't download

Hi, I have Windows 8 and I recently had my computer infected with the ShopAtHome toolbar and possibly other Malware. AdwCleaner won't even start to download, it just says failed. Can anyone help me? Is there an alternative download site?

Re: PUP.Legacy.Optional - 3 Threats Identified

Well.... My previous solution in Windows "Safe mode with networking" should help you out if you haven't done that. Alternatively, you could try using RKill to kill malicious software first. Then remove the identified files manually, afterward do a thorough scan with Malwarebytes, AdwCleaner, and HitmanPro. This should definitely yield some results.

Re: Antivirus Software

Most anti-virus softwares do the job relatively well, they all provide decent features, and most importantly, most of them have a free alternative, for example, IObit, Avast, Comodo, Malwarebytes and so on, you could try them out and see which ones you prefer yourself. And of course, the best product is usually a paid product, so whichever you chose to use, paid versions are more sustained. As ...

Yes, you have to think by yourself and not to use some strange tools. There are not too many tools used in curing that have a special option to clean itself. So in most cases its enough to simply delete its folder and there'll be no described here problems. Some of tools have its own unistaller like AdwCleaner (thou in last...

Re: A bug in Delfix

I've often seen false positives in this utility, so I advise not to use it at all.

Re: Adwcleaner Command Line interface -version CLI

Bonsoir.

Re: winupdatefix 1.3

Hi again,

For me it seems normal, I assume WinUpdateFix is cleaning your update history for some reason (see "Effacer le catalogue des mises à jour" under Actions).

One thing is sure though, it won't prevent you from installing new updates. At least security ones (the end of support for Windows 7 from Microsoft is scheduled on January 14, 2020).

To be clear, I'm not the author of WinUpdateFi...

Re: False positive?

Greetings,

WiseCleaner comes with PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) during installation process. We stand against such practices. This is why we decided to target it.

There are some nice and free alternatives to WiseCleaner:

These two software are edited by Piriform which is a well known company.
