AdwCleaner suddenly stops

Hi,

I have been using Adwcleaner for quite some time and had always done the job well. But recently since the version 5.009 have noticed that in middle of scanning it suddenly stops and shows an error code as shown by the image. After pressing ok the program stops too and the same happens after restarting it. I am now using the latest version but the same is happening.

Sorry for the delay.

  1. Please download CCleaner,
  2. Go in Options tab > Advanced, untick Only delete Windows temporary files older than 24 hours.
  3. Then in Options  tab > Surveillance, untick the both boxes.
  4. In the Clean tab, click on "Clean".
  5. When the cleaning is done, go in the "Registry" tab, click on "Find errors" and then "Fix".

The only case where AdwCleaner could not create a debug logfile is when it crashes before it starts. If it starts and the user can run at least a scan, there will be 100% a debug logfile created ( make sure that the user checked the option "Activate debug mode" ).

After the scan has finished, the user should press the Cleaning button as well until the Error appears again. After closing...

AdwCleaner v5.013 incorrectly deleted valid folders

I ran AdwCleaner to help eliminate some issues I have encountered and v5.013 incorrectly deleted at least two folders, following are the two lines from the log.

Bad LAG with Windows 10
